This week’s Compass will focus on the issue of Orphan Care and how the church can be a light into this dark world globally. The introduction for The Compass this week is by Johnny Carr from his book, Orphan Justice. Pastor Carr spoke at First Family in August 2011 as part of our church’s ongoing effort to raise awareness, to care for, and to support orphans both here in Iowa and around the world. You can hear his message by visiting our website. Here is a direct link to the sermon:

If you have specific questions about foster care or adoption, don’t hesitate to contact me, and I can put you in contact with a group of families within First Family who have walked this path and are eager to share their experiences with you.
