You Will Be Found: Orphan Sunday 2015

This week’s Compass will focus on the issue of Orphan Care and how the church can be a light into this dark world globally. The introduction for The Compass this week is by Johnny Carr from his book, Orphan Justice. Pastor Carr spoke at First Family in August 2011 as part of our church’s ongoing effort to raise awareness, to care for, and to support orphans both here in Iowa and around the world. You can hear his message by visiting our website. Here is a direct link to the sermon: http://myffc.co/1Spmbtg.

It is my prayer that our church will continue to have a strong desire to help and care for orphans. For some, this will mean participating in Operation Christmas Child and sending a shoebox of love to a need orphan. For others, it will me opening your home for foster care, while others will seek to pursue the adoption. Regardless of your involvement, be sure that every little bit helps. If you have specific questions about foster care or adoption, don’t hesitate to contact me, and I can put you in contact with a group of families within First Family who have walked this path and are eager to share their experiences with you. My email address is celler@ffclife.com.
