This is Passion Week, the week leading up to the crucifixion, death, burial, and resurrection of our Lord Jesus. This event is the pinnacle of all history. No single event has had a greater impact on the destiny of mankind.
While the event is horrific in its brutality, it is also the greatest example of self sacrifice and love.
This week, we will follow Jesus as he enters Jerusalem to the cheering crowds who proclaim Him King, to the cleansing of the temple, the betrayal and Last Supper, the trial and crucifixion, His death, burial, and ultimately His resurrection. Day-by-day we will walk with Jesus as he fulfills His mission.
It is my prayer that as you journey through the next seven days, the Scripture will draw you close to Jesus. If you have never accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, it is my sincere hope that this journey to the cross will cause you to place your faith in Him. Romans 10:9 tells us, “If you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”–Chris Eller
